Human Nature

Norway is a beautiful, rugged country, with lots of untouched and impressive nature. Her mountains, forests, tundra's and fjords give a good impression of how our ancestors in Europe must have lived, some 20.000 years ago. Having nature surrounding you, with animals and the weather always present, you can't help noticing the diversity of feelings and emotions involved in all the seasons.

After spending almost a year in Norway I felt the need to capture those colorful seasons on paper. I wanted to give an impression of the different feelings and emotions I experienced there. I show those emotions through some of the animals that live in Norway. Starting in the beginning of march, the paintings follow the months of the year, although they do not exactly represent a whole month. Because season and the weather don't follow the months precisely either!
